City of Corning 2008 Assessment Update:
Revaluation Resources
The City of Corning hired GAR Appraisal Associates, Inc. to conduct
a city wide revaluation for the 2008 assessment roll. The purpose was
to assess all property at 100% of market value. Starting January 25,
property owners throughout the city were notified of the results.
Resources on
property assessments, inventory data and sales prices are available at
the Southeast Steuben County Library and Corning City Hall.

resources for property-owners are available on the Web pages of the City of
Corning Assessor's Office. Click on the underlined link to
find out how to schedule an informal hearing (the deadline to do so is
February 13, 2008), or to file for exemption (the deadline is March 1).
