Chill Out & Read: Now - March 12

The Winter Reading Club, features incentives for the books you read, including "read-to-me" books. This year's theme is, "Chill Out and Read." All Day: March Fiction Madness! This free library program pairs books with basketball teams to create a fun-filled game with prizes. Stop by the library starting March 9 to pick up your set of brackets (just like basketball pool brackets, substituting recommended books for teams). Creative Writing Group

Meets once a month on the third Thursday

6 pm - 8: Creative Writers Group. Writing can be a lonely pursuit. Come share your accomplishments and frustrations with other creative writers interested in seeing their prose or poetry published. All Day: March Fiction Madness! This free library program pairs books with basketball teams to create a fun-filled game with prizes. 12 pm - 2: Book Talk & Signing with author Donald Carapella, Jr. Mr. Carapella will introduce his new book, Corning, which documents the city’s history from the 1890s until the 1960s through its many postcards. The 128-page book, published by Arcadia Publishing, Inc., includes 200 postcard images. Carapella, a third-generation Corning resident, is a member of the Corning-Painted Post Historical Society.
