Coalition Against Unsolicited Commercial Email (CAUCE) A very good resource site for all sorts of spam and privacy issues. See especially the FAQ and About the Problem sections.
Computer Virus Information from Symantec Excellent source of anti-virus information from the makers of Norton Anti-virus software. Includes virus alerts, a virus info database (with complete explanations of viruses and hoaxes) and a reference area with links to other virus info sites.
CyberAtlas Up-to-date source for Internet market research. Check out the Stats Toolbox for the latest statistics. Here you'll find a summary of all available Internet data including market size, growth, forecasts, demographics, plus information on such markets as advertising, banking/finance, commercial online services, Internet service providers. Resources section provides direct links to organizations referenced via reports online.
HoaxBusters This service from the U.S. Department of Energy Computer Incident Advisory Capability (CIAC) addresses the various virus hoax messages on the Internet. In addition to describing the various Internet hoaxes and chain letters, they discuss how to recognize hoaxes, how to deal with them, and provide some of the history of hoaxes on the Internet. You can search or browse by category or index.
How Stuff Works: Internet Clear, concise and illustrated explanations of how the web works.
Internet Error Messages A quick chart of what some of those annoying error messages mean.
Internet Tutorials A collection of tutorials and guides to help you better understand and use the web.
