Library Materials
Large Print- our own collection plus rotating large print from Southern Tier Library System. Paperback books -general fiction, romance, horror, fantasy, mystery, sci-fi. Books on Tape - many unabridged titles. Books on MP3 - we are starting our collection with a few children's titles and will add more. Books on CD - a collection of popular titles for both adults and children. Special Collections - parenting and local history, including aviation. Video Collection - children's, drama, action adventure, musical, family, comedy, instructional/documentary, nature/travel plus rotating collections from Southern Tier Library System. This collection is growing fast! Music CDs - We have a collection of music CDs that includes classical, country, rock & roll and more. Reference Collection - World Book Encyclopedia, dictionaries, thesaurus, world atlas, Finger Lakes Trail Maps, medical references, Consumer Reports (for the last three years), NYS Statutes, college guides, electronic databases and much more. Novelist - This database can help you find fiction based on reviews and other recommendations. Use the 'databases' link on the Library's home page. Chilton's Library - This is your online resource for auto repair instruction. Use the 'databases' link on the library's home page to access this reference. Periodicals - Back issues may be checked out. The library currently subscribes to 30 magazines. Library Services Loan Privileges - All persons age 16 and older with proof of identification and current address are eligible for an adult library card. Children ages 5-16 years with parent signature are eligible for a juvenile library card.Public Use Computer - We have 11 laptop computers for public use in the library. Persons age 17 and younger must have a permission form signed by parent to use the computers. Children 10 years and under must have an adult present while they are using the computer. The library has one desktop computer in the children's room with educational software. Fax Machine - Fax service is available at these prices: $2.00/ 1st page, $.50 cents/page thereafter.$.25 cents/page to receive a fax. The fax number at the library is 569-3340. Copier - Copies can be made at $.15 cents each, letter or legal size. Color copies are available at $.50/page. Interlibrary Loan Service - We will do our best to find the book you want, either from the Southern Tier Library System or outside the system! This service is free of charge to all patrons. StarCat, the electronic catalog for the entire Southern Tier Library System, can be accessed either at the library or from a home computer. Requests for books can be made from home to be picked up at the library! We will call you when your book is available for pick up. Rotating Collections - We regularly receive rotating collections of videos/DVDs and large print books from Southern Tier Library System. This helps keep our collection new and interesting! Tax Forms - Federal and NY State tax forms are available from January through April. |
