New! Downloadable Audio Books! The Southern Tier Library System now offers many titles for downloading to your home computer and/or mp3 player or iPod. Moving Possibilities- "Moving Possibilities," a multi-arts exhibit featuring work from a dozen visual artists, will be on view at the Fred and Harriet Taylor Memorial Library, from August 2nd through September 12th.  The exhibit will open with a performance by improvisational performers Rhonda Morton and Peter Chwazik, at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, August 2nd at the library.

At the opening performance, Morton will be moving back and forth in the space for an hour, never moving the same way twice, while Chwazik plays upright bass improvisationally.  The performance also features free illustrated poetry broadsides, an audio component, and audience interaction. 

To Bee Or Not To Bee...answers to the stinging questions about bees and wasps! The library will host a talk by Phillip Cook to answer questions about stinging insects on Wednesday, August 6th at 6pm. For ages 5 thru adult. Please pre-register by calling the library at 607-569-2045.

Online Shopping can raise money for this library! Many of the popular shopping sites you regularly use will give a percentage of your purchase amount to the library, at no extra cost to you! Just go to goodsearch.com and click on GoodShop. Enter the Fred & Harriett Taylor Memorial Library as the charity of your choice. Click a store link and start shopping, its that easy! The library is also registered at igive.com, another fundraising website similar to GoodShop but shoppers must register.

Book Discussion Group - holds monthly discussion meetings on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7pm in the Robinson Room on the first floor of the Fred & Harriett Taylor Memorial Library.  New members are always welcome! Interested readers may contact the library for more information. No meeting is held in December.
