Big Read Volunteers Needed!

Looking for a way to get involved in April’s Big Read? Why not volunteer?

We invite you to join the many people in our community who will be hosting informal gatherings to discuss To Kill a Mockingbird. We encourage you to host a book-talk dinner party with family and friends. At the library, we have materials that can help you guide a discussion, along with complimentary copies of the book.

Not able to host an event? Why not attend one of the many events planned during April as a volunteer? We need people to record attendance and provide write-ups.

The success of The Big Read relies on the involvement of many people and organizations working together.  Many thanks to the people who have volunteered their time and talent. It is going to be a great month for our community.

To volunteer for a Big Read event, or to volunteer at the Library, please call (607) 936-3713 ext. 213 and ask for the volunteer coordinator.

The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest
