Do I Dare Disturb the Universe?

Do I Dare Disturb the Universe?
- T.S. Eliot
A thought so deep, so profound
I could ruin the universe.
With its set ways, its ups and downs
A thought not a blessing but a curse.
The world would not hear, it would turn a deaf ear
To my thought to change the universe.
But if I don’t say, my head will sear
The pain of my mind full to burst.
It was years ago that I figured it out
That I could cure the universe.
But I have turned mute, for all my doubts
Have convinced me it will only do worse.
For daring to say what no other has said
Could hurt, destroy the universe.
My cunning be damned, it’s made its own bed
It’s dying, going; completely bent-morality went first.
