Ukranian Egg
Decoration Workshop-The old Ukrainian art of Pysanka
will be the
focus of this workshop led by Betty Jordan. Two dates to
choose from: Thursday, March 18th from 6-8pm or
Thursday, March 25th from 6-8pm, both held in the lower
level of the library.
Adults and teens 14 and over are invited to try their
hand at this specific form of egg decoration. The class
is geared for the beginner. The history of the art will
be discussed while participants decorate an egg to take
home. All materials will be provided for the fee of
$5.00/person. Pre-registration is required.
‘A Novel
Evening’ Library Benefit Dinner
Sunday, March 21st, starting with hors s’oeuvres at
the library and moving to The Union Block Italian Bistro
for cocktail hour and dinner. A minimum donation of $50
per person is requested.
Reservations and payment should be made by March 7th.

New! Downloadable Audio Books!
The Southern Tier Library System now offers many titles for downloading
to your home computer and/or mp3 player or iPod. Almost all titles in the
STLS downloadable collection are now ipod-compatible
with new OverDrive Media Console v3.2! You will need a valid
library card and PIN number, a PC and an internet connection. For more
information on how this works, click the link on the left.

Love My Library!’ Fine Amnesty Month!
The library can help its patrons clear their library
card records of overdue fines. Between February 1st
and March 1st, patrons may bring a food item
for the food pantry collection box at the library and
ask to have overdue fines deleted. Patrons will have
clear records and the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry will
benefit! This program does not apply to fines for lost
items or fines from other libraries.

photographs by Elizabeth Shipp entitled 'Roman Provence'. The photos will be on display from
through March 2010.
