Geek Speak on Market Street

 

Winners of the "I Geek Libraries" writing contest have been announced!! Please join us on Thursday, September 19th from 6-7:30pm to hear the writers read their winning submissions at various locations throughout Market Street in Corning.

And the winners are...

1st Place: Shawntelle Santas

2nd Place: Megan Archer

3rd Place: Lyniece Mitchell

Honorable Mentions: Kelly Withee, Naomi Scoville, Brianna Siegrist, and Vicky Ross

7:00 - Soulshine Studio, 88 E. Market St.

7:20 - Southeast Steuben County Library, Corning

In the event of inclement weather, all readings will take place at the Arts Council.

About the contest:

Whatever you geek, the public library supports you. In 1,000 words or less, participants were asked to write about how an STLS library has supported personal interests, passions, or quests for knowledge.  Fiction, nonfiction, and poetry entries were all welcome.
